  • Patient with an existing category I of pressure injuries can be in high risk of developing category II and higher (1)
  • When the skin breaks down, the muscle and fat tissue have a lower resistance to pressure and temperature (2)
  • The higher category of pressure injury the more time is needed for healing (3)

Individual cell deflation

LOCALIZED PRESSURE OFFLOAD.
The individual cell
construction uses self-sealing
valves that allow the cells
to be individually deflated.
This enables pressure to be
removed from specific areas
of the patient’s body.
NOTE: Always complete
a manual check to ensure
the mattress does not bottom
out due to a deflated cell.
