Essenza 300 LT is the best-designed product in Europe
30. 9. 2024
The Essenza 300 LT bed from LINET Group has dominated the main category of the 2024 DesignEuropa competition for the best European industrial product design. It succeeded against over 800 products from 33 European countries, designed by the company's internal project team in collaboration with the Divan Design studio led by Ivan Dlabac. The DesignEuropa awards are presented annually by the European Union Intellectual Property Office, responsible for registering trademarks and industrial designs within the union.
This prestigious DesignEuropa award confirms that products under the LINET brand are among the design elite of the European Union, with innovation and product design being carefully registered and protected. This is one of the aspects considered by the competition. In the finals, Essenza defeated Bang & Olufsen speakers and Meze Audio's Empyrean II headphones.
“Hospital beds are, of course, for patients, but we also think of the healthcare staff when developing them. Our company motto, ‘Designed to help you care,’ reflects this. Nurses know exactly what they need to provide the best possible care to patients. It’s up to us to embed these needs into our products and give them attractive and functional designs. We have been successful in doing so for a long time thanks to the cooperation of our internal team with the Divan Design studio led by Ivan Dlabac,” said Tomáš Kolář, CEO of LINET Group.
Essenza 300 LT is not just a bed, but a mobilization tool or an assistant that makes the work of nurses and other hospital staff easier. It includes the latest technologies, such as a lateral tilt for easier patient positioning or comfortable standing-up with the Mobi-Lift® mobility handle. Efficient healthcare work is supported by intelligent assistance systems like SafeSense and SmartTracking, and by the active Air2Care® mattress, whose settings are much easier and quicker to adjust thanks to its integration with the bed. Patients' mental well-being is enhanced by various side rail designs made using the special DesignInk printing technology.
"With these many improvements, we have significantly reduced the physical strain on staff. Nurses can now spend more time interacting with patients, talking to them, and addressing their needs. The Essenza bed supports greater patient autonomy and faster recovery. Additionally, all innovations, including design enhancements, are thoroughly protected," added Vít Karvay, Technical Director of LINET Group.
The award was presented to LINET Group representatives during a gala evening in Riga, Latvia, by Lorenzo Imbesi, Chairman of the expert jury and Professor of Design at Sapienza University of Rome.
"We believe that through our approach, we are able to elevate the standard of patient care worldwide, where previously unattainable things are becoming the new normal. The DesignEuropa award is a great confirmation for us that our team’s effort is meaningful. We deeply appreciate it," said Vladimír Soukup, Product and Marketing Director of LINET Group, during the award ceremony.
